All students have a required senior test. Testing dates are grouped by test type. The following majors take a version of the Praxis:

French, German, Modern Languages, Romance Languages, Spanish.

Students taking the Praxis need to register online at ets.org/praxis. Be sure to read emails from the Testing Office carefully about these tests. Language exams also have strict testing windows that cannot be altered.


Praxis World Language Exam – Testing window is April 28 – May 3. Students will receive additional information and guidance via email. Please review those instructions carefully and register to test as soon as possible.


If planning to enter the MAE in a language above, please reach out to the Testing Office for information about the STAMP.

All students have a required senior test. For majors listed below, students will generally test during enrollment in their capstone course or in their final semester. Students will be contacted by either faculty or the Assessment & Testing Office with additional details.

Below is a combined calendar for Pearson VUE and ETS exams. Dates below are useful for senior tests in Exercise Science (ACSM EP-C), Health Science (CHES), and French/Spanish/German/Romance Languages (Praxis World Language Exam).

As of summer 2019, the State of Missouri requires all new and transfer students pass a Civics Exam with a score of at least 70%. More information can be found at testing.truman.edu/civics. The test can be completed at home through Blackboard.


Register for the Brightspace course in Truview. Go the the Student tab –> Assessment & Testing menu –> Civics Exam Menu –> Enroll in Civics Brightspace Course. In 24 hours, you can take the exam any time from learn.truman.edu.

 

Graduation Requirements

All students must complete the following tasks for graduation clearance from the Assessment and Testing Office.

Take your senior test. Additional details and dates at testing.truman.edu/senior-testing.

Complete the GSQ (Graduating Student Questionnaire) at gsq.truman.edu

Pass Civics Exam (see Missouri Senate Bills 807 & 577) details at testing.truman.edu/civics

 

CLEP Exams

Registration: collegeboard.com/clep – choose and pay for exam

Scheduling: Contact the Assessment and Testing Office to schedule a test

When: Tests can be scheduled Monday-Friday from 8 am-3:30 pm

Proctoring Fee: $15

Test Day: Bring your registration ticket and two forms of valid ID for admission

 

    What to do on test day

    • Arrive about 5 minutes early to senior tests scheduled through Truview (MFT, ACAT, CLA, STAMP, etc).
    • Arrive 15-30 minutes early to tests scheduled through ETS or Pearson VUE (GRE, Praxis, CHES, ACSM EP-C,  etc).
    • Bring a valid, government-issued, photo ID – Driver’s License or Passport.
    • Bring secondary ID if required by test.
    • Contact our office during business hours prior to your test day for ID concerns – name change or renewals.
